A project of pharaonic proportions.

My first finished Warhammer Fantasy model.  Painted this guy up in about 20 mins; 10 mins for the drybrushing and 10 mins for the shield detailing and layering.  Skeleton Warrior for my Tomb Kings army.  Now another bajillion of them to go.

Finally also started working on my Necrosphinx, eternally stuck as a WIP

Liche Priest

Last night Larry and I engaged in an epic battle of craftsmanship.  Larry assembled something like 40 or 80 Skaven Rats to my 18 Tomb King Warriors.  Apparently Larry’s assembly line format was far superior to my hand clipping everything off the sprue.  Furthermore Larry cheated by only assembling the heads, body, and attaching it to the base; the arms slot into the body instead of needing to glue it on.  But on the flip side I managed to get three models partially painted.

Necrosphinx has color

I was originally going to simply plagiarize the color scheme of the model I saw, but the metallic parts seem just a bit too drab.  I wanted to still go with a minimalist approach to color so I just added a bit of Mechrite Red, and highlighted each triangle with Blood Red.  HUGE pain in the ass.

Changing gears

Now that the painting league is finished, I've decided to switch gears and try my hand at Warhammer Fantasy.  I've chosen Tomb Kings as my army and what other model has such a presence as the Necrosphinx?
